Nick ROse

Nick Rose (b. 1998) is a multifaceted artist based in Los Angeles. After moving to New York at a young age, Rose lived with Danish artist Asger Carlsen, whose deep commitment to the unseen layers of a work left a lasting impression that resonated with Rose’s own practice. His first solo show was a painting exhibition that included sculpture and photography—an early signal of his refusal to be pinned to one form. Most recently Rose has been experimenting with image transfers made from his own photographs—leaving behind ghost-like impressions that feel both personal and fleeting. The paintings shift, alter, and age over time, yet still retain their strength, a nod to Rose’s embrace of impermanence.
