Haylie Jimenez - Crowded, 2025 Glazed ceramic tile 12 x 12ins
As digital isolation and division permeate our daily lives, Boulders returns to the foundational impulse to gather, share, and shape a movement together. The selection of artwork includes ceramics, paintings, assemblage and sculpture from artists across the country, and few from across the globe. From late night conversation, studio visits, and sharing of studio spaces, to the production of exhibitions and art works, the artists of Boulders have been carefully selected to represent a diverse expression of artistic messaging–through content and context of mediums and compositions. Themes explored include surveillance, nature and wildfire, alienation, self-reflection, repose and more.
With this show ARCANE Space and Stone/Age foster genuine relationships between artists and support the growth of something larger than the individual: a community built stone by stone.
“While today’s art world often celebrates the individual, it is the power of collective movements that most profoundly shift and shape how we see and experience the world around us. In moments of social, environmental, and personal transformation, it is often the shared voice—amplified through community—that resonates the loudest.”- Morleigh Steinberg
STONE/AGE collective is an alt/punk/intrepid amalgamation of global artists. Founded in 2022 by Holden Fuller with artists Dillan Conniff, EM Graff, Kai Sugiyama, TL3, and Dominick Vanderlip, STONE/AGE operates out of a rotating shared studio space in DTLA.
