About Arcane Space
ARCANE Space opened in the hub of LA’s Venice Beach in October 2017. Founded by Morleigh Steinberg and Frally Hynes, ARCANE Space presents the work of a wide range of artists – both those of note and those who may not yet have had the opportunity to exhibit. A portion of proceeds benefits local charities.
Mission Statement
We invite you to step inside this space and be blessed by the mysterious balm that art offers us in all our lives. For everyone of us who is undone by the mysterious work of creativity and then finds that we are made whole again. May the work of this place fit the rhythms of the souls who make it enabling people to draw from the invisible. New ideas and new ways of seeing which inspire others. May it be a place which defies expectation and disregards convention. A place of play which is also deadly serious. A place of fun which gives us second sight. May the imaginations at play here know the grace of perfect danger, to reach beyond imitation and the wheel of repetition, deep into the call of all the unfinished and unsolved until the veil of the unknown yields, and something original begins to stir toward the senses, and grow stronger in the heart in order that it may come to birth in a clean line of form that calls out of time a rhythm not yet heard that calls space to a different shape.
